re: Zimmerman bond revoked
Apparently failed to disclose the full amount of money he had available at the time bond was set

If I were Zimmerman, I'd make it publicly known that every single cent that this racist witch hunt costs...it'll be added with high interest to the amount that will be litigated in the civil courts when this politically inspired miscarriage of justice is over. He needs to get indignant.

Now if he lied about the money...shame on him. Don't lie to the judge!

Wasn't smart, but I am pretty sure he did not realize he had to disclose what he had obtained for his LEGAL DEFENSE at his BOND hearing.

The second passport was the worse infraction.

Apparently the prosecution has the audio of a phone call Zimmerman made to his wife when he was in custody...the substance of the conversation being how to "move" the money. Prosecution believes he was trying to talk "in code" with his wife.

Edit: all of this happening before the bond hearing

Yeah, I think he would be much better served by being on his Ps and Qs from here on out..
Not a good start at establishing credibility..

take that with a grain of salt though - there could be a disagreement as to what constitutes "code"

didn't watch the hearing but pulled this from an ap article:

Prosecutors also said Zimmerman had failed to surrender a second passport, but Lester dismissed that concern as the equivalent of someone who has lost a driver's license, applies for a new one and then finds the old driver's license.

The talking in code thing seems like a reach, but plausible.

Lying/misrepresenting about his money and passport is retarded.

re: Zimmerman bond revoked
quote:

A judge revoked bond today for George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch captain charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a Florida teenager in his gated community, and ordered him to surrender himself in 48 hours.

Prosecutors had filed a motion today to revoke his bond, accusing Zimmerman of "deceiving" the court about his finances and his possession of a second passport, which he apparently acquired two weeks after the shooting.

"The court was led to believe that they didn't have a single penny," said prosecutor Bernie De La Rionda. "If this [the money] wasn't relevant to bond then why did they lie about it? I don't know what other words to use besides that it was a blatant lie."

The judge seemed to agree.

"They were well aware of the money that was available," Judge Kenneth Lester.

In recordings of conversations released today during a court hearing, Zimmerman and his wife, Shelly Zimmerman, cryptically talk about his second passport in a safety deposit box they shared.

Although one of his passports was due to expire in May, prosecutors said today, Zimmerman applied for a second passport, informing the State Department that the original had been lost lost or stolen.

In some of the phone calls between the two, she is at a credit union that was linked to his PayPal account and speaking to a teller. The prosecution said that despite being in jail, Zimmerman was "intimately involved in the deposit and transfer of money into various accounts."

In the conversations Zimmerman and his wife speak in code -- reducing the amounts in their financial accounts by a factor of 1,000. Prosecutors said the couple knew that their jailhouse conversations were likely being recorded.

Zimmerman is accused of tracking down and killing teenager Trayvon Martin, who caught the attention of the neighborhood watch captain in his gated Florida community.

The new documents show that Zimmerman had $135,000 in his bank account the day before his bail hearing -- in which he declared himself financially indigent.

Lying about a passport has as much of an impact on credability as the fact Treyvon had drugs in his system.

Facts > Credibility.
He got cocky. He paid the price. Odds are he'll get a new bond hearing anyway, now based on new revelations.
