Sure, but does this constitute the majority of the professionals in high paying jobs? Or do they get in to it for the monetary compensastion/quality of life?
What motivation do they have to come up with new ways to do things? New ways to be more productive?

but everybody would have the incentive to gorge and indulge? This is where I think it's easy to tell who should be citizens, and who should be banished. People who cry incentive are tax dodgers, draft dodgers, resource leeching, nightmarish litigious animals. They are the chaos to a system, they are easy to detect and should be free to be "bad apples" elsewhere. The military(use to) break these kinds of spirits, Men of honor they were called, fight on the front lines: God, Country, Family.....now it's me,myself, I, mistress, vice, family, country, God. Easy to form this type society and it will work without issue as long as you keep the animals out.

Why would the Microsoft team even bother coming up with Windows 8 when they can just keep giving away Windows 95 for free?
Why would anybody even bother inventing robots to boost productivity to pump out products quickly

good of the community...WTF is FREEWARE? it pisses me off that people are so money motivated...you realize that that motivation is more in line with a criminal than a patriot, intellectual, or man of honor. tell me why it's not
Instead of thinking of money as dollar bills, think of the money you have in the bank as potential tangible objects.
Ok. Kashonly shuns the medical community. That's so fricking retarded that no one should bother with him anymore.
quote:People entering any profession consider the standard of living that job will provide them. I don't see anything wrong with this. While a desire to help people would be a desirable trait for a doctor to have, how important is it really? Why is altruism expected of doctors and not other professions?
% who become Doctors for status and money vs % who desire to heal people
So food and shelter is wrong?
People entering any profession consider the standard of living that job will provide them.
quote:That is true in capitalism, except exceptional individuals are rewarded more.
that pyramid of life needs, basic necessities are covered at the base minimum living wage. The degree to which an individual society rises is based on the degree to which that society collectively produces.
For example... things used to suck.
So the more productive our society is, the more we all benefit. Henry Ford innovated and increased productivity dramatically which made cars cheap enough for the average American to afford
I'm "middle class". I have a vehicle that has the ability and technology to be able to run for hundreds of thousands of miles before I'll need a new one. It has a 5-star crash-test rating.
I have a 42" HD TV.
I have a surround sound system that makes sporting events and movies sound like a movie theater.
I have a Sonicare toothbrush that cleans my teeth very well in only a couple of minutes.
Life used to suck even for rich people.
