Would being allies with Russia and/or China be such a bad thing?

Our old allies have fallen from grace (UK) or have been cucked to no end (France, Germany). Clearly there are things that the Russia and China want that we want also. Why not just privately let Russia keep their Syrian puppet state if it means they’ll help destroy ISIS? Why not privately assure China they can keep North Korea as a puppet state if they can assure that Rocket Man can’t launch a nuke? Why not tell Russia they keep their influence over Iran by preventing them from getting a nuke? We have puppet states/spheres of influence with Israel, Japan, and South Korea. Why not let them have theirs?

I would think as nuclear armed nations that Russia and China would rather not have more join our ranks, especially nations in such close proximity to them.

Because neither country believes in the concept of allies...that's a distinctly Western concept

We should have permanent interests, not permanent allies.

Its a great idea.

Let other superpowers near stupid countries handle their own shite. It's not America's problem.

When Russia and China become real democracies we can begin to discuss this.

So we should become commies...because they are certainly not going to become free societies?

If we do that, then the leftists won't have anyone to blame for their failures.

Yeah, let’s share information and weapons and cede power to Russia and China. Great idea what could go wrong.

That's funny considering a significant portion of the left wants a communist/socialist country. And trying to force democracy on other countries has always worked so well in the past. This is not a good reason to remain at odds with the other 2 most powerful countries in the world.

I am totally in on this idea. Let them babysit the rogue/troublesome nations for us. In return, we have more global stability and we save money on military adventurism. My Russian wife would feel much better, as well, as the past 6 months has been a little tense with the Russia false narratives.

Sounds good except they all hack each other's secret tech info anyway.

Funny how you can never understand the concept of mind your own business.

Forcing our way of life and system of government on societies of hundreds of millions of other people is stupid as shite.

They clearly do not get even close to all of that information. They hack some but the idea that we both know everything about each other’s technology and/or other secrets is false.

Saudi Arbaia, U.A.E., Qatar and Jordan are some of our biggest allies. None are close to being democracies. Whether or not a country is a democracy should have nothing to do with whether or not we're allies. This country has a long history of fomenting coups against elected governments and installing dictators when it suits us. Your argument is a moralist con.

I don't think it would ever work . Both of them want to keep us on our toes . We need to stop using china so much for our goods . I think we need to keep as many allies as possible. The 2 most likely countries for us to go to war are 2 of China and Russia's biggest allies .

Decatur is about as neoliberal as it gets.

He loves the hell out of reckless american interventionism everywhere on the globe the consequences be damned.

The Trump Presidency is the only time we're going to see the alliance of NeoCons and NeoLiberals being as strong as it is right now.
