re: wonder if the left

You're right. He's one guy and we shouldn't generalize an entire group based on his comments. But unfortunately the media has become so pathetic and dishonest that he even thought his comments would be accepted in the first place.

A truly non-partisan media is perhaps one of our country's biggest needs. This guy is just evidence as for why that is so.

re: wonder if the left
I only saw a few media references, not some whole movement by the left to do this.

re: wonder if the left
quote:

In the beginning it reminded me most of the 1996 attack on the Olympics.

A singular event, 17 yrs ago. Somewhat understandable remembering that, but easily linking it or assuming it's right wing to Boston, is a stretch.

quote:

Bombings like this in the US, rightly or wrongly, conjur up images i the minds of most Americans of OKC, WTC, and the Olympics.

1998 being the most recent "right wing" bomb attack. Meanwhile, Islamist Jihadists, have bombed or attempted to bomb no less than 12 targets since then.

That may be a surprise to hear and if it is, it's because of the media play that is given to one side vs the other.

No, not really. Its called being open to multiple factors, and not excluding based on pre-conceived prejudices.

Right, but no one discounted the fact that this attack was potentially performed by an Islamic extremist while also discussing that it could have been an anti government extremist as well.

Good god, when did the right become such whining, dripping pussies playing the victim card at every turn. Grow a fricking sack already

Except the argument has been labeled right wing. Insinuating those on the Conservative side of the spectrum.

And again, the most recent attack due to political issues, was the small plane flown into the IRS building.. a tax day thing, many referred to. And he was a registered Dem, left leaning.

LOL, the right keeping it's mouth shut about this blantant propaganda by the left and the f**cking MSM that doesn't report anymore, is what has gotten us into this bullshitee mess. It's time we start speaking up. I personally think some of these left wing liars and pussies need to have their arse whipped for some of the lying bullshitee they put out to the public!

Yes really. There have been dozens of attacks since then, all attributed to left leaning or Muslim extremists. The media bias against the "right wing" has fashioned the unreasonable bias against Conservative leanings by playing up right wing extremism, when the left has been the most active and most violent the last 15 yrs.

When was the last time a law abiding legal gun owner bombed anything?

If someone is lying, then post the specific lie and let's call them out. I'm all for it. It is the pussy, victim mentality that sets up the strawmen arguments that is getting to me. Let's be men of conviction and deal in reality and truth and avoid the same generalizations and propoganda we rail against.

Well, based on the parameters of the question, I'm going to guess it has to be a military person or law enforcement doing training or at war.

Why?

Link?

LINK

quote:

During coverage of the event, Matthews was quick to speculate on who he thinks may be responsible: “Normally domestic terrorists, people, tend to be on the far right.

quote:

The MSNBC host then commented on a reported explosion at John F. Kennedy’s presidential library in Boston, implying it could be a personal attack on the Democratic Party:

But going after the Kennedy Library, not something at Bunker Hill, not something from the Freedom Trail or anything that kind of historic, but a modern political figure of the Democratic Party. Does that tell you something?

Unless you are fricking moron, you know exactly what Mathews was eluding to.

Yes, that segment has been addressed, and not parsed to the most inflammatory bits. It was also part of a larger discussion on possible motives, which also included foreign/Islamic terrorism.

I've been asking the same question. And other than the Slate article and some vague Chris Matthews reference, there isn't much.

There are literally more threads on TD.com about "the left blaming the tea party" than there are actual incidents of the left blaming the tea party.

You mean where he tries to say that Islamic terrorists don't have a reason to do this?

quote:

Well, its tax day today. That came up. You know, I was thinking of all the iconic events that are being told about today. Of course I knew it was tax day because I got them in. But of course, it’s Patriots Day. It’s also the Boston Marathon. And would you as an expert be thinking domestic at this point? I don’t think tax day means a lot to the Arab world or Islamic world or certainly not to al Qaeda in terms of their world. It doesn’t have iconic significance.

Again, unless you are a fricking moron, then you know the picture Mathews was trying to paint.

I posted a link and quotes from MSNBC, NYT and CNN, inferring right wing involvement by national outlets.
