It really is quite pathetic to see republicans given so much power in washington and of course they don't know what to do with it.

Andrew Wilkow nailed it the other day: if the R's can't figure out how to get trumps agenda through that the people voted for, the left will be ready, waiting, and willing in 2018 and 2020 to grab the power back. They are waiting for the pendulum to swing back their way when republicans screw this up.

I know most people on this board hate liberals and their agenda, but you should really be criticizing the "conservatives" who are basically democrat lite with how they can't work together to get anything passed (or repealed)

It isn't that they don't know how to do things. They don't want to.

There's a small window they have and they refuse to work together to accomplish agenda items. It's like theres 5 different types of "republicans" and no one can agree on anything for the greater good.

meanwhile democrats will put disagreements aside and vote together to pass their agenda.

When America elected Trump, they voted to repeal ObamaCare, build a wall to secure the border, pass tax reform and get rates down as reasonably low as it can get.

The republicans in Congress are completely ignoring that message and shame on them.

Trump will have a failed presidency when republicans won't even support him.

If hillary were president, the dems would be voting in lockstep with each other to pass whatever she wanted.

there's really no one else to blame but the house and senate republicans. trump has his agenda. This moral high ground some of these republicans want to flaunt is complete insanity.

They don't know how to govern. It's easy when the "other" side is in power, they can obstruct or go along or whatever. The pressure is not on them. Now that "republicans" have all of Congress and WH, they don't want to govern. Ryan is nothing but a establishment democrat with an R behind his name.

I doubt many of her policy ideas would be getting an audience in the R-controlled House.

Fun fact here, His wife is an actual democrat that has donated to liberals IIRC.

That's what happens when you spend your political career being the best minority party around.

Don't misuse the term 'conservatives'. Most of the republicans in Congress who are scared to death of the media are not conservatives. I'd say that maybe 20% of elected republicans in the house and senate are conservatives.
The rest would be considered Dem centrists of the 70s. But today there are no Dem centrists. They're all bat shite crazy.
