With less government oversight, the job falls to us.

I'm a card-carrying Libertarian. I love smaller government.
That said, we (as citizens) have become lethargic in regards to holding companies accountable. The assumption is that the government will do it, so why should we?
You think WalMart underpays their employees? Good for you. Don't ask the government though to force them to change, then drive over there to buy your cat food and big screen TV. Shop elsewhere.
Feel your local Applebees is treating law enforcement like crap and doing nothing to change? Awesome. Stop eating there - don't forget you're boycotting them a month later because they have a special on appetizers.
Less government oversight is good. Maintaining the same level of lethargy in forcing change through free market capitalism will only encourage the return of government oversight.
I know I'm speaking to the choir here, but still. With Trump doing away with Federal fat, we, as citizens, need to make sure that if we truly feel a business should be punished, we do so the proper, free market way.
With our wallets.

couldn't agree more.
We are just as responsible for jobs leaving this country because we want cheaper, cheaper and cheaper. The Wal Mart mentality is part of the problem. We should be willing to pay a little more to keep jobs here.

How does this work when it comes to our countries natural resources?

Do you buy gas?
Find the gas companies that have the highest utilization of American-based oil.
Car?
Find the ones that manufacture with US steel and US labor.
We live in the glorious days of the Internet. It's pretty easy to find data on a lot of these things, if one is willing to spend the time looking.

And do the same for this administration. The media won't do it fairly, and the natural reaction is to be rah rah administration and anti-media.
Be anti-media and watch the administration like a hawk.

Haha. That's precious. You think the govt actually controls our natural resources?
Vanderbilt, Rothschild, Ford, Koch bros, Astors, Anschutz, Rockefeller, Mellon, Carnegie, Schwab, Stanford, etc are laughing their asses off right now
They control the govt (well, they did) by whom they support or oppose during election cycles. Then laws were passed to protect their control over certain industries, and its corresponding natural resources

Absolutely!!! My family has been doing this for a while. Since i am not going to make a fool of myself and march ( I work for a living) to yell and scream which gets nothing done, the only way I can make my voice heard is by where i spend my money. ESPN got shut off for the entire NFL season, luckily the Saints stunk. NBC, CBS, ABC, never turn on their channels. I don't patronize Target, I don't buy The Advocate or Times-Picayune. I don't click on any link from NOLA.com or any MSM outlet. DISNEY is about to be next. If enough people withhold their money, watch the impact.
