I cant think that Trump sticks with Mike Pence for two terms and Ted is starting to grow on me. Sure he is a politician in every sense of the word, but he would make a damn good VP imo

How common is VP dumping? How many have dropped their VP after a term in office?

I want Ted Cruz no where near the POTUS or the U.S.Supreme Court. His bible-thumping alone is scary & I am a solid conservative.

I'm a Cruz supporter, but I think Trump should stick with Pence. Cruz and Pence can run together in 2024.

Pence will be Trump's running mate in 2020 and regardless of what happens in 4 years, he will be the presidential nominee in 2024.

What world are you living in? Democrats have nothing in the tank left. Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin...theyre all going to vote for Trump again. Add in Florida and Iowa and its going to be another landslide.

Four years of economic growth bud. Just wrap your head around it. And whats the number one issue voted on in American? The economy.

At what rate?

He is doing everything he can do himself.

and no President ever has had his re-election chances set in his first 2 months

He'll be "finished" another dozen times between now and then.

I'm not as big of fan of Pence as most are on this board. He is a good public speaker and politician, but i dont see him as a viable leader of the free world.

Cruz would be the leader in the club house if not for Trump, but my go to pick for next POTUS after Trumps second term is Rex Tillerson.

The democrats that voted for Trump and the rural rednecks will be pissed that he didn't build the wall, repeal and replace Obamacare, and throw Hillary in jail all in his first two weeks in office. If the Democrats do the smart thing (and they won't) and nominate a sane, middle of the road person who doesn't preach identity politics, violence, and hatred against whites, they have a good chance at winning.

At the present rate, Trump won't get 40% of the popular vote in 2020. PA, OH, MI, and WI will return to normal and support the Democrats in 2020, I believe.

Trump will get the wall done, healthcare done and tax reform. Also, there is zero chance the Dems will ever nominate a middle of the road candidate. They have been radicalized and there is no turning back

So let me get this straight...you think that after Trump brings back manufacturing, cuts regulations and reforms the tax code in those same states....they are going to vote against him?

You're delusional. He has kept his promises to each of those states and will continue to do so. Plus you are completely ignoring the fact he will campaigning in those states all over again...this time with a record of bringing back jobs. Good luck

Exactly. If the left doesn't get their crazy fringe curbed back they will lose the those blue collar states forever.

FDR dumping Wallace for Truman in '44 is the last I can think of -- a decision with enormous political consequences
