Because, let's face it, since Slick Willie's administration they've pretty much owned us ... and they have spies everywhere in our bureaucracy.

Will they give the psycho a heads-up or will they let it play-out and score points with us?

We explain to China that due to their proximity to North Korea we must start restricting trade. It is simply too dangerous.

They will kill the fat kid with the bad haircut in less than a week.

The real question is will one of our traiterous leakers warn them when China is coming, because those assholes hate Trump so much they do things to cripple national security?

Warn them or not, it wouldn't change a thing. Absolutely nothing NorKo could do to stop the U.S. from curb stomping them. Once those wheels are in motion, they're done, finished.

They couldn't stop us as long as we maintain our will, but they could absolutely slow down the effort. NK military technology is decades behind our own, but they still have one of the world's largest standing militaries and their civilians are trained to resist any invading forces to the death. They could make any ground invasion very slow and very painful. And if there's one thing we know about our modern citizenry, it's that we have very little patience for slow, painful wars.

Would we have to slog out a ground invasion with troops and shite?

Certainly not? Where would we get them? How many US ground forces are in SK at this time? I would assume some pretty damned precise air strikes would end this in a hurry and NK would implode upon itself.

How many North Koreans would flee? I've got to believe some truth gets through to them. Can't they run to China or South Korea once NK started to fall apart? I would think only a handful of NK military leaders would need to be taken out with Kim and the NK army would start laying down their weapons. 30 years ago? No. But today I have to believe some info gets to them. In this day and age to isolate all info has to be impossible.

China would need north korea if them and japan were to be involved in a regional war. Thats why they tolerate them.

Some good points in there, and I sure hope you're correct about all of it.

The biggest doubt I'd have would be here:

I really, really hope that we could communicate some sense to their citizens, but I'm still doubtful. They are raised from birth to prepare for war. Their lives are built around the idea of defending their home against the US. If it came to war, even one that where we took a thoroughly dominating early lead, I'd still expect a very large portion of their citizens to resist until their dying breath. If their government had any early indication that they wouldn't, those people would be in reeducation camps right now

You want to undermine the President?

Why would you want to do this?

We won't go after the Fat Boy unless we have China on board. The only way that happens is if he attacks South Korea or Japan.

You say that after some doumbass leaked the name of the Manchester bomber along with photographic evidence which alerted the network of how close the British authorities were. Once people start leaking they don't stop and there has been widespread leaking going for awhile. I hope we track down the leaks and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law in order to set an example.

yeah well in a time filled with wikileaks and Trump, that seems to be the norm.

Here is Trump:

"He blithely passed on to the Russians sensitive counterterrorism intelligence from Israel — and publicly seemed to confirm the breach after his staff denied it. Speaking by phone to the widely scorned president of the Philippines, Rodrigo Duterte, Mr. Trump revealed the presence of two nuclear submarines off North Korea, a highly unusual disclosure."

What he says is spot on. At least 90% of the Democrats in Washington would not hesitate on leaking any information that would hurt Trump. That information would include battle plans. They would not hesitate one second and never think twice about it. And fellow Democrats would cheer their heads off no matter if it resulted with 20,000 American troops killed. They would simply blame Trump and ignore everything else.
