Steve then called his West Point recruiter and told him (falsely) that the boy had used the "N" word on Facebook and should lose his scholarship. Both of the guys were also scheduled to be "city leaders" at Boys State which is a week-long leadership training deal at the capital for Jr. and Sr. boys. They got a letter kicking them out of the program a few days after the graduation speech. They were devastated. I have the email the one who gave the speech was sent, telling him to "use that week to stay home and think about his behavior."

The other twin [Mick] was scheduled to go to Ole Miss in the fall. Guyton basically told him he would make his life hell (he is very connected at Ole Miss). The boy switched his enrollment to Mississippi State. Matt Boyle and the editor of our local paper has this story, but the twins and their parents opted not to talk because they were afraid of further repercussion, and they didn't want the attention.

Garbage. The whole lot of them. Wicker. Cochran, McDaniel. All Garbage.

Just scrolled through quickly and maybe I missed it, but I didn't see the staffer listed as working for Cochran, but two other politicians

Ummm. Do you have more background than what's in your link. This story doesn't seem credible, and doesn't mention Thad.

The site you linked has 7 articles under the "Politics" section. All of them reporting "wrongdoings" of establishment MS GOP party members.

"Politics" Articles

ETA: Those are the only articles on the whole damn site.

I know Steve. I went through Boys State thanks to him.
I can not imagine him ever doing anything to keep someone from going to Boys State.

Dude is a little imbalanced though.

I love how people automatically assume this is truth... How many of these idiotic stories have come out from the McDanial camp, or supporters, that have been proven completely false

Well, something apparently happened. What it was or who was it fault is very unclear, and this link presents only one side, albeit vaguely and with a lot of innuendo.

Steve Guyton (Harper/Wicker staffer), who had shepherded him through application process at West Point called him the next morning and threatens all kinds of actions.

Steve then called his West Point recruiter and told him (falsely) that the boy had used the "N" word on Facebook and should lose his scholarship."

(1) So the guy who helped him through the process advised West Point that he should lose his scholarship.

(2) The kid is now on campus at West Point, properly enrolled as a member of the Class of 2018.

So what happened between (1) and (2) ?

It should be able to be proven very easily if he used the N word on FB. If he didn't that shows that Guyton is lying. Can't Guyton be sued for this??
