Why is Romney being considered for SOS?

Why would we want him in this cabinet?? He is an establishment cuck and passive aggressively campaigned against Trump the entire election. I think the Republican and Democratic parties need to be filtered out, and he is the ultimate elite Republican..

He's being considered for SoS so Trump can send him outta the country and rid the USA of one big GOPe. Much harder for Romney to "never Trump" if his assigned protectors, and thus personal safety, depends on Trump as CiC.

After what Bill and HRC said about O during that election, she was made SOS under him.

Because he's a very component and successful person who has executive experienced. He's also generally well-respected.
It's good to see Trump at least appear to put aside the petty campaign politics in this case.

Remember, during a 2012 debate, when Romney was laughed at by Obama about Russia being a threat? Looks like he called that one pretty accurately. I'm not overjoyed about the guy, but he may have some knowledge.

Probably the most qualified person I've ever seen nominated by a major party. Seriously, Romney's resume is stellar. Now, one reason is Nikki Hailey wouldn't accept UN without Romney coming on board as SoS. Secondly, it's good for the party to have some counter balance to the doves in the administration. Throughout history Presidents have placed rivals in key cabinet positions. It's admirable and savvy by Trump to place a Neocon in that position. Trump and Romney know Russia has to be contained but Romney gives Trump some cover with Putin.

Not so MAGA if Romney is involved...give me pause...hell why not appoint a democrat with actual experience over a Wall St buttboy whose only contribution to humanity is impossible without being born in the lucky sperm club.

As long as their beliefs don't inhibit their ability to provide the best for and promote the virtues of our country, I could give two shits.
