Why doesn't the NFL just stop playing the anthem?

The NFL makes big money playing it, financed by the US government and their military recruiting efforts.

Shorty, back in 1969 I went to a theater to see a Clint Eastwood movie. They started with the national anthem on screen and the announcement said 'All Rise for the National Anthem"
I was 'WTF...this is a western movie.' I did not stand up. I was told to stand or take my money back. I took my money back. Western movies are not appropriate for the anthem.
Should we have the national anthem before taking final exams? Should we have the national anthem before a baptism?
