Too much work, not enough glory.

It's kind of the most criminal job in the administration right now. I know he would be cleaning it up, but just look at the last 2 to know what kind of crap the job is associated with...

Exactly. The first year+ will just been clearing out the filth.

Seems like a job for Cruz (although, like many, I'd much prefer him on the Court - of course, if he's AG, that would not prevent him from being appointed later [how awesome would it be if HE were Ginsburg's replacement????]).

Saw him making the rounds on the news shows in the days following the election, and it seemed to me like he was practically campaigning for the AG job. I was surprised at the turnaround.

Say it with me: Attorney General Trey Gowdy

Rowdy Gowdy has been laying it to these crooks for a while now in a largely toothless committee. Imagine what he could do with the Justice dept. at his back.

He explained on Fox last week he was involved in some private projects that "mean a lot" to him and their were people more qualified for some positions than him.

However, if those people aren't available, he will strongly consider the opportunity since the goal is to MAGA.

He's 72 years old. Maybe he just wants to kind of do what he wants when he wants at this point in his life.

Couldn't get confirmed due to his firms dealings with very shady characters...Libtards in the Senate would have a field day with Giuliani

He probably enjoys his role as advisor and enjoys the freedom of being a political insider without the work.

Why would he want to work that hard? Unlike the last two idiots, this job requires a great deal of mental thought (practicing law at a very high level) and long hours in an office.

F that.

Give me a jet plane, travel to all the capitals of the world with a police escort. Wine and dine. And all the tough decisions are made back in DC. You're just the messenger over a cigar and a drink.

I'm a Rudy fan.
But there's something "off" about him as of late.
He seems shaky and sometimes confused.
