Why does Planned Parenthood have people accosting me on the street?

It's usually 20-something girls (but some guys) with clipboards. What are they doing and why won't they leave me alone? It seems to have been going on fairly regularly (at least in New Orleans) for over a year.

its been going on for as long as I can remember, they are trying to raise $$. Apparently it must be effective, since they continue to do it. And not only that, they pay those people to do it.

They were at the Southern Miss/Mississippi State Game two years ago.... They walked up to our tailgate and started to talk, I asked them if they had anything tender I could throw on the grill. They never came back for some reason.

Having 20-something girls accost me on the street isn't something I usually complain about. Plus you obviously wouldn't have to worry about child support.

Accosting you? Lol you are a huge p***y then, because I pass these people every day in downtown Nola and they try to speak to me and when I say I'm not interested they immediately stop talking to me. I get it if you disagree with what they stand for, but you're just making up controversy that isn't true.

It's New Orleans. They probably assume, statistically, that you've sired at least 3-5 illegitimate kids.
On a side note... have you tried asking them what they want, or did you just run to a computer to ask a bunch of people online why this was happening to you?

They typically do. There are occasional cute ones, I guess.
I just want to be left alone. The other group I see doing this is 'Doctors Without Borders' - an organization I would otherwise be inclined to support. The fact that they would choose to employ such an annoying tactic makes me reconsider.

Man, I don't know what Planned Parenthood girls are doing accosting people on the streets, but have you ever tried to walk your girlfriend into an abortion clinic? Those folks who stand around clinics are nuts. the Planned Parenthood chicks could even think of the vile stuff those abortion protesters do.
But I'm kind of lonely. Send those Planned Parenthood gals over to me. Maybe they just want to play doctor.

I heard on NPR that they are ramping up solitciting awareness for "women's health and reproductive right" right before the presidential inauguration. They're really annoying here in Austin and are typically 60 y.o. women doing it.
