Why does it matter who released Emails?

I was reading another thread that I think someone was alluding to my same question. Say it was Russia who released the emails, what does that change ab the corruption w/in DNC/Clinton campaign. What does that change ab the apparent reckless behavior of Clinton while sec of state using a private email. During the election, our media outlets were barely reporting anything ab the emails or corruption going on w/in DNC. I haven't seen anybody in the media just say that the election might have been effected bc ppl actually saw the carelessness and corruption. I don't like foreign country's meddling in our elections but ultimately all the email dumps did was expose the truth. The truth that at least gave voters the choice to let it influence their vote. What am I missing?

It doesn't matter in the least. This is a pretty pathetic ruse. Congratulations to them for changing the focus from the contents of the revelations to some phantom in the ether. Sadly this will be enough of a cover for the brownshirts to hide under while continuing their uncivil behavior.

What difference does it make?

What if the Russians hacked Republican emails and decided not to release them because they thought it could make the Republicans look even worse than the Democrats? You could consider that tampering with an election with a foreign power heavily dictating what information the US population receives before they vote. So it matters.

They are still carrying Hillary's water. She insisted that the contents of the leaks were unimportant and that the authors of the leaks was paramount. They simply continue to do her bidding.

I think it matters who is spying on us and we should be trying to prevent that, but context is important here. The media is portraying this as an election stolen for Trump by his Russian comrades. The reality is
Foreign powers hack eachother. I promise you we are trying to hack Russia as much as they are trying to hack us. Most global powers are engaged in this with both enemies and even allies. Remember when Obama got caught tapping Merkels phone? That's why HRCs bathtub server was such a huge issue.
The DNC is not the American government or any of its agencies. It's a private entity and is responsible for its own cyber security.
The hack and subsequent phish could have been done by any number of hackers all over the world. This wasn't some sophisticated security breach that required government resources. We aren't even looking for the culprit- just blaming Russia to force a narrative.
The content of the emails matter. Remember what was in there? No one in the media talks about it, but the Dems were caught *gasp!* influencing the election!!!
National security is at stake. Obama was right. Questioning the outcome of the election this way undermines democracy. Goading Russia with this endless barrage of accusations weakens an already fragile relationship.
In summation: I'm all for reporting the hack, but I'm not for a propaganda campaign designed to delegitimize a democratically elected American president and perhaps steal an election. A campaign that puts international diplomacy and national security at risk. Dems and the media can put this all in proper context if they wanted to, but they clearly dont and I find it sickening. It's an affront to the American way of life.

It has already been established that the RNC was not hacked. More real news that doesn't get reported.

Kinda like "what does it matter now how the guys got killed in Benghazi". She be messy.

"The Russians" is the 2016 version of birther-ism.

Link? I'll happily read and analyze if you provide from a credible news source.

The RNC head has already gone public on several networks with the results of a cyber forensics probe of RNC systems, but I'm guessing the chairman isn't a reliable source in your view.

And the CIA says Russians hacked the GOP. And let me guess you don't believe them and this is all some massive left wing conspiracy that doesn't align with your view?

You really cannot understand how foreign influence on our election, in any form, is a bad thing?

It doesn't matter.
Some Good Samaritan didn't record Mitt Romney's "48% comment."
And that cute old couple in D.C. didnt accidentally pick up Gingrich's phone conversation.
And the stories of Tower's womanizing and alcohol use didn't come from the WaPo.
Welcome to Washington D.C. I can only assume it's a new thing for Democrats to realize that dirty pool can still be played by Republicans.

Yes. Let's do the election all over again over this even though HRC dominated the polls for months following the breach. We can start with the Dem primary since we know it was unfairly influenced.

Hillary should take her own advice. At this point, what difference does it make!

What if your point makes no sense and adds nothing to the discussion? They did not hack the RNC.
