Why do white people commit a disproportionate amount of hate crimes?

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation Uniform Crime Report database, since 2010 more than 50% of reported hate crime offenders were white. I wonder what caused the uptick in white hate crimes in 07/08 though. A steady decline through the Obama years. Hopefully the trend continues and the fake media narrative of a racial divide dies out

America is 65% white. If these statistics are correct, white people commit a disproportionately low number of hate crimes.

Huh? That's actually lower than their (our) portion of the population, so if anything, it's disproportionately less than expected given that.

Of course. Hate crime laws where only invented to even the playing field.
White person committing a crime against a minority is a hate crime.
Non-white people targeting white people to rape or murder is just a crime.

Doesn't it make sense that since black males commit the majority or violent crimes, that the number of hate crimes committed by black men would be much higher?

Says whose definition?
You mean white people committ more than half of hate crimes...which results in about 1/5 of all crimes...compared to non-classified hate crimes by 1/2 politically unreported as hate crimes.
You do know why hate crimes were invented right?
So 1/5 of all crimes would have the same gravitas as the majority of 2/3 of all crimes - which are never reported as hate crimes - just unequal wage rape or disenfranchised robbery.

Besides a white person can commit a hate crime against another white person, if it's one of those multiple other categories. Mathew Shepard case led to legislation against hate crimes against homosexuals.
