Who was responsible for the Trail of Tears, black slavery, opposition to women's suffrage, the KKK, Jim Crow laws, the Korean War, forced sterilization, and Vietnam? (I am probably missing several more)

New Left emerged from Old Left. Old Left emerged from Democratic Party which was a coalition of agriculturalists and urban immigrants.

This

They are the most uninformed group that has ever existed. To them, emotions equal facts no matter what. Hopefully the fad dies soon, even my 15 year old laughs at how fricking stupid they are.

They are followers. A lot of people need to be told what to think. Most followers have a victim mentality so that is why the left is always blaming someone for keeping them down. The left tells them that if it wasn't for the evil rich man they too would be awesome which is just not true because they are not capable of being awesome or they would be. Look at George Washington Carver, he was a fricking slave and became a doctor and then started a Iniversity that is still strong today. He didn't allow himself to be a victim.

It stems from gay rights.

The right has been anti gay for too long and it's hurting the party.

The same reason why people like you left that same party. The party isn't what it was when your kind was part of it.

Both sides have been anti gay honestly. It's just the left who has crafted an image of being otherwise.

The homosexual agenda is really only the most recent battle on the part of the social justice/new left. Ultimately they are economic marxists who want to destroy social anchors of western civilization that prop up capitalism and economic liberty.

Because their "movement" was created to get mentally
Unstable but vocally loud people involved in their party. It's just a shiny hook

It's a tough question to answer because many republicans today either used to be southern democrats or are descended from them, and these are many of the people who made up the party in question.

The southern strategy and the dramatic political shift that occurred in the south and Midwest from the 50s through the early 80s makes it so difficult to compare republicans and democrats of today from those of yesteryear. Many in this board who vote republican have more in common with southern democrats from 1940 than they do republicans from the same time period.

Politically or culturally? Economically or socially?

Your question is far too broad the answer.
