The amount of uneducated bias towards the President on this board is astonishing. Perhaps a little support from the republican base/republican congressmen would result in a drastically different future for our country and budget. All these conspiracy theories, while entertaining, are only detrimental to the progress we, as the greatest country in history, are trying to make. Look how a 'liberal' approach (as opposed to conservative) has moved this country along. 40 years ago, blacks couldn't even eat in the same restaurants as whites. Now, one is the President. I think hard-headed conservative (which is the worst form of hypocrisy) is a hindrance to anyone with half an education.
You are the one who is uneducated if you seriously believe everyone opposes Obama because he's black. That's absurd.
I oppose Obama because of his economic, environmental, and geopolitical policies. If he were white I'd oppose him.
I agree with you about these conspiracy theories; but sadly, they are part of our culture. There are conspiracy theorists running amok today and while some take them serious I do not.
As far civil rights, we've come an extremely long way in civil rights and it's not all perfect, but Obama has done little in that area except emphasize differences in people and he hasn't brought people together.
Other Americans fought the civil right s fight, and thankfully they won.
Frankly, using Obama's skin color as a crutch is what I see. To me he's President Obama, not Black President Obama. Most people feel as I do or he wouldn't have been elected.
