That is all I want, to just worry about ourselves

Why should we give a shite about what goes on over there.

Why do we always have to intervene and nation build and fight other people's battles for them

Tired of it

All I can say is that like with Saddam and Iraq, Syria is better off with Assad than without

Who gives a shite about ISIS? Let the Middle East deal with them

Besides ISIS is just another manufactured terrorist organization used to justify more war and intervention. The likes of McCain created ISIS

I agree with GoldenNugget.. It feels dirty. I agree. Everyone born in the US won the parent lotto but that doesn't mean we have to try to save the world. There's evil crap going on to people all over the world (NK, Africa, etc) Gov't's job is to protect the homeland. Syria is not a threat to the homeland.

There's the simple premise that fighting the enemy abroad prevents us from having to do it here. That is protecting the homeland, indirectly.

You think a travel ban is going to keep determined individuals from harming the US on our soil? That doesn't mean I want a long drawn out conflict at all times but I do believe that things aren't as simple as people want to make them out to be.

US is the top dog. We will always be targets.

You think Assad and the Syrian Army are going to attack the homeland?

The problem with this line of thinking is that it will probably create more terrorists than destroy.

A lot of home grown terrorists are radicalized because of our intervention and always doing the bidding of Israel

So, Syria's army is a threat to the US homeland?

Not them. But I believe an unchecked terrorist force is like cancer. The more terrorist cells are allowed to grow unchecked, the greater chance for metastasis in the form of US born terrorists that follow their lead.

Do you realize that the people we would be supporting by ousting Assad are the exact thing you are describing?
