Economics is a much less objective science than biology and physics

Especially when government can distort the ever living shite out of it via fiat.

Because economics is not a science, and social science is wholly unable to deduce the most complex thing ever created (human society) into simple laws.

The phillips curve, for example, was smashed to pieces in the 70s.

I believe the OP was referring to applied science in face of any AGW thesis

They aren't.

Especially with evolution. While the data out there suggests that evolution is the most likely explanation, if there were new evidence which overwhelmingly overturned evolution the scientific community would move on. That's the beauty of science.

They're only like that to ivory tower academics. I love how they claim there's no controversy about evolution when in the real world it's about a 50-50 split.

There is absolutely no evidence for anything other than evolution.

The notion that "it's about a 50-50 split" is completely incorrect.

I agree - but I still consider myself a Christian (albeit not a very orthodox practitioner)

I believe the process of evolution was enhanced by random mutations and the 'survival of the fittest' worked its miracles over the millennia.

The one thing that evolution in any of its forms does not account for is the creation of a conscience. That to me appears to be divinely inspired and it is the one thing that distinguishes us from the rest of creation - and gives us dominion over all else.

We are less and less sure that animals don't have consciousness. The picture is altogether more complicated.

The belief that conscience could never have evolved naturally is complete fabrication.

If evolution were so proven, then it would be a Law and not a theory. The very fact that it is still considered a theory suggests there is not proven evidence to support it. Do they think evolution is how everything happened? yes. Do they have proof or evidence? No.

Not bashing science, because we have had way too many wonderful advances because of science. However, those that put their entire faith in science is wrong. 400 years from now people will look at our science as if we were in the Dark Ages. 400 years ago people were told the sun rotated around the earth. 50 years ago we were told science would solve the hunger problems on the earth. Science had developed a new method to grow bigger chickens and cattle with more meat on them. All we had to do was give them steroids and growth hormones. How did that work out? Then we were told science would wipe out disease. We had to go get immunization shots...until we found out many caused brain damage, blindness etc.

Science is a wonderful thing, but lets not pretend it has all the answers. Soak it up if you want to, but like I said....in 400 years most of we know to be fact, we will be laughed at about.

It is no less objective than the climate change bullshite hyped by a combination of central power advocates and people who make a living off it and some who do both
