Just curious. What stops a mass murderer from using a truly automatic weapon? Why don't we see more of them used?

Too easy to get an AR-15 and modify it. It cost alot less to do that.

Over-regulation has made them basically illegal.

They aren't necessary to get the job done.

How do you reconcile your position that cops are violent and oppress black people with your position that only cops should have guns?

At one time there were videos on youtube about how to machine the parts from semi-auto to auto. Wasn't too keen on that TBH.

So gun control works?

Weird, people here say it doesn't work with zero data to support that.

Huh.

Weird, because I keep reading that laws and regulations do nothing.

this.

plus as a class-3 gun owner you're in lots of databases and likely 'on the radar' so to speak.

a fully automatic M16 from the vietnam era can go for $25,000+ at gun shows

BamaAtl is using the same argument I was using in the Bump stock thread and getting Trumpkins to fall right into a trap.

Well played

The same reason not everyone owns a yacht... The cost of ownership is too steep for most people...

Regulation made them expensive, even on the black market.

There are cheaper alternatives that can be purchased legally and then illegally modified for a fraction of the cost of a stock automatic.

So a valid gun control measure would be a nationwide database of gun purchases/owners?

Cool, I'm on board!
