Why are certain red states poor compared with blue states.

In my studies of classical conservatism, I have read that conservatives are generally very pro-business. My only concern is that a conservative state (red) should have a plenthora of business or at least have coporate friendly politics.
However, in states like Louisiana and Mississippi, there is a very noticeable lack of corporations despite having multiple universities and trade schools in which a partnership could be created.
These are not the only states, consider the Dakotas, Arizona, and other western states. According to political philosophy, most red states should be prosperous like Texas. Why is the current landscape so lopsided.
These articles have given me some perspective, so is it really spending habits and low expectations that cause this problem.
Red States beginning to Grow, Blue States decliine
Why poor states are red and rich states are blue (spending habits)

Louisiana's Governor and the mayors of all of the state's largest cities are pretty corrupt Democrats. The state is also suffering from poor decisions made years ago.
I'm not sure what the problem is over in Landmass. The only areas that are growing there are the Memphis suburbs and the gulf coast.
Texas, IMO, is a great example of how to parlay natural resources into a thriving, diverse economy. Houston and Dallas being so close to Louisiana definitely makes things even harder for New Orleans or Baton Rouge.

Because of the democrats there. The poorest of the poor reside in those states.

Well, for starters, Red doesn't necessarily mean conservative.

Look who's in control of the major cities.

Most of those states have only recently turned Republican. Still trying to repair the damage of years of Democrat damage.

States are not people. A "red" state still has 35-40% of people thatvarebdemocret and a "blue" state still has 35-40% that are republican, so you can't just make a blanket statement that it's democrats within blue states that are rich. It ignores 40% of state population.

You tell us. Do you think it is because of rabid right wing republican governance? What about that, in particular, do you suppose is causing this disparity that you envision between "red states" and "blue states"? Be specific.
Or are you just trolling for perceived racists to say 'BLACKS' and you to have your gotcha moment
Seriously, what the frick is the point here?

True, however, the vast majority of states overall in the US are red. Florida, Texas, North Carolina, etc. all do quite well.
You should take a look at the cities that struggle the most with violent crime in the US. Baltimore, NOLA, Detroit, Chicago and so forth are all ran by corrupt BLUE government.

Blue also doesn't mean liberal. Especially today.

There are a lot of Republicans in LA, but very few conservatives.
Fun experiment, ask a Republican in LA if they are for government cuts, then ask them about a cut to a program they like, medicaid or TOPS for example, and watch how quickly they go big government liberal on you.

Yea let's not bring up the Piyush's attempt at trickle down economics in LA.

Yeah, is Louisiana a "red state" or a "blue state"? Is the answer dependent upon whatever fits the need of whatever mindless "point" one is trying to make?

Blacks, Minorities, Demographics
You can try to pull that in the South, but what about the Dakotas and other Red, western states where minorities make up a very small percentage of the total population.
Also, if you have such a large problem with certain groups, why not create laws on the state level regarding mandatory employment or regulations regarding use of charitable donations.
