Me

Because the GOP establishment hacks like Boehner will applaud his BS to appear "bipartisan" when i reality the event should be boycotted

I know. I can't stand Sheila Jackson Lee either (who you know will be front and center).

LSU vs, Kentucky on ESPN, Basketball for me. It's all the same each year, just spending, more debt, raising minimum wage, roads and bridges spending for the union workers, gay marriage, Mexican/Democrat amnesty. Same stuff.

I haven't watched one of these in at least 15 years.
I avoid all stupid things on tv.
No reality shows(especially duck dynasty).

I'd think for a group who hates him so much they'd be mature enough to sit and listen to him directly and then bitch about him rather than hear from a second party's take on his speech. Can they not draw their own conclusions? Do they need to be spoon fed their hate?

I've never watched a single moment of an Obama State of the Union other that replays of Joe Wilson shouting "You Lie" at Obama.

I'm not and I have watched all of the previous ones... I'm just absolutely sick of the bullshite. Our President is a piece of shite, the republicans are spineless turds, everyone is only in it for themselves... Im tapped out.

Like I said in another thread, the only news I have watched for weeks now is CNBC and it has been glorious

I'd like to see them adopt the protocol for SOTU's that they have for the Presidential Debates - the audience must sit quiet, and not applaud until the end. The event time would be cut in half and the grandstanding would mostly stop. Obama was interrupted for applause 83 times last year, up from 60 in 2012, but about the same as the 80 he got in 2011. I swear a President (either party) could announce that he farted on the way to the podium and draw a 37 second standing ovation at these things.

I don't mind listening to the speech itself, it's the "tradition" of the constant applause that rubs me the wrong way .

By the way, watch the contrast between Biden over one of Obama's shoulders and Boehner over the other. A couple of time last year Biden was still standing and applauding wildly when Boehner sat down and rolled his eyes.I found myself watching those two guys more than Obama. Biden looked like he was having repeated orgasms while Boehner looked like he was suffering a bad case of blue balls.

With such riveting television such as the Nashville Predators vs. the Winnepeg Jets on at the same time, you surely are asking a rhetorical question!

Seriously, this guy is out of chances with me. I tried to fire him and y'all voted his arse back into office. This is on you. I'll read the blogs in the morning to find out how much more of my productivity he is going to steal.

Even when I was into politics, I never got the appeal of watching these things. They're pure BS.

I'll start out watching, just to see how long I can hang with it.

But even for his supporters, I wonder how many times they can keep listening to his rhetoric, knowing that he has been a bust for the last 5 years.
