It's about the same as Benghazi or something similar. I think the public is tired of it and rolling their eyes, but I don't think it's THAT damaging.
I also don't think very many people (outside of people like us) are going to do what you did and contrast the "accept the results" narrative with the Russians stuff. That's too inside baseball for all but politicos and Trump loyalists.

I think it is very damaging. it pretty much is going to get trump re-elected. sometimes you just need to realize no one is buying what you're selling and you're just digging your hole deeper. people will tune out all (and legit) criticism because shite like this is so loud and so stupid.

I don't think they realize how poorly it sells outside of their circles

I don't know. I think there is an undercurrent of Trump support that isn't tuning in to any of this. They don't give a shite about his 4d chess, and they don't give a shite about media/left attacks. Where those people end up in the next few years determines Trump's reelection, IMO. And more directly, I don't think those people are invested in any way (speaking broadly) in the Russian narrative, be it pro or anti-Trump.
Today, this board (rabidly pro-Trump) is talking about how the hearings are bolstering Trump, whereas media and most of the moderate/left crowd is going to universally claim Comey's statements buried Trump. People like Larry Sabato are calling for Trump to apologize, the theme will be anti-Trump, not pro-Trump.
But I'm not sure the difference maker contingent is buying the media narrative, and I don't really think they're buying the intricate web of "here is how Trump won today" stuff either.

I'm not really hearing any of that. We're both going on anecdotal evidence here, so I'm not convinced I'm right and you're wrong. But honestly, I don't see the russians shite anywhere but online.
Liberals I know are still talking about wiretap claims and banning Muslims. Trump is the worst ever, so embarrassing, OMG. Conservatives I know IRL talk about border walls, the economy, and what's going to happen with Obamacare.
