Whenever anyone complains about DeVos "buying her position" I laugh.

Where was the outrage when Citigroup single handedly picked every member of Obama's cabinet?

Why do Trump supporters keep comparing him to the past politicians.

Is he not draining the swamp? I guess not

This is a fact.

As well as...No one in the media peeped a word when the Chicago debutante Penny Pritzger got a sweet Obama gig. LINK All for funding his retirement and Liebrary.

Look I support trump but if your best argument is comparing him to politicians of past it only makes their argument stronger. His campaign promiseswas built around draining the swamp.

So stop focusing on the swamp he's built with his appointments with huge ceos and others and hold him accountable.

You don't win an argument because your politician of choice is in office. You win it by them actually holding up their biggest promises.

Grow up child.

They are not comparing Trump to past politicians, they are comparing the fake outrage now with the no outrage then.

And a lot of people are comparing the no outrage now to the fake outrage for the last 8 years. So quit with the double standards. This DeVos thing is embarrassing any way you slice it and giving it a pass because of what (some of you have described) the worst president in history did, doesn't look good.

Yall would rather downvote than go near that one eh?

Go back and look at W's cabinet thru his 8 years and then look at the asshats that "fixed" all the Wall Street/economic shite under Frank-Dodd. People got rich and shite still ain't fixed.

The problem with DeVos is she is a dumb arse. That's all that should matter. But it doesn't these days. Sad.

I'm sure there was plenty of outrage here. Why is it different for trumps cabinet?

This should piss you liberals off even more.

quote:

For a moment, the Democrats got very excited, believing they had an opportunity to claim that we bought access. It was all hogwash, and upon being confronted with the facts, they had to scrap their plan. I have decided, however, to stop taking offense at the suggestion that we are buying influence. Now I simply concede the point. They are right. We do expect some things in return. We expect to foster a conservative governing philosophy consisting of limited government and respect for traditional American virtues. We expect a return on our investment; we expect a good and honest government. Furthermore, we expect the Republican party to use the money to promote these policies, and yes, to win elections.

People like us must surely be stopped." (Roll Call, September 6, 1997)

Am I allowed to be mad at both?

I feel like this board's main point half the time is just about media bias. Great. That is a fact and it sucks. It doesn't mean you shouldn't criticize Trump's actions.

This was supposed to be an administration held to a higher standard.

So it's up to his most ardent supporters to actually hold him to that standard.

This isn't similar AT All. She has not spent her billions gaining political influence to enrich herself. She has spent her money to push for school reform.
