When was the last time you watched network evening news from start to finish?

I'm referring to the 5:30 pm, Central time, news program on CBS, ABC or NBC.

It's probably been more than 10 years for me.

I really can't remember the last time I watched any of those networks regular evening news programs for any longer than it took for me to find the remote control and change the channel.

I would guess during gigantic international events is the only time that I've watched since the 1990's. Like the two Asian Tsunamis or the War in Iraq or something like that.

Is this another media poll? If so, I watch it all the time all the way thru.

Not really but making the media look like shite on polling is a hobby of mine

Thanks to everyone for replying.

Your responses confirms to me that the national network news is not nearly as influential as it was in my parents' day.

They would both sit down and watch the evening news every single afternoon when I was growing up.

National news? No idea it's been so long. Local yes. There is local 5:30 news.

1980 or 81, the day Walter Cronkite retired, he was "the man", the news face always associated with JFK's death and the space program, etc. I didn't realize until many years later that he was a liberal shill with as much bias as anyone on the news today.

My inlaws watch it every night. We spent a weekend at their house a few months ago during the height of the election. I lasted about 30 seconds before I had to leave the room. Was pretty awful.

The other night my wife recorded the CBS evening news because there was a story about the BR food bank where she used to work. Before she started fast forwarding, we caught the very beginning where they highlight the top stories: "One day later and experts are still searching for a motive behind the killing of the Russian ambassador and the Berlin massacre"

I lasted about 5 seconds that time.
