Kids often use the "but someone else did it" excuse when they get caught doing something wrong. When will adults stop using it to justify the wrongdoing of others? When will adults start judging the actions of our politicians based on what they are instead of what others have done before them? When will they stop acting like children?

The Obama defense is getting old. "Obama did it" isn't a good excuse. If you hate Obama, why the hell would you justify Trump doing the same things he did? Shouldn't you want Trump to do things differently than the predecessor you hate?

Disclaimer: I voted for Gary Johnson in the two elections I've been of age to vote in. I've voted for Republican and Libertarian congressman and judges.

Yeah, that isn't a good excuse. Why is this so hard to understand? You literally just did it.

Yeah, so you're saying because they did it that makes it okay to do? Why emulate someone you hate?

Reread my last post; I clearly answered that.

Okay fair enough. I'm just sick and tired of trying to have conversations with people and all they can muster is "Well Obama did it."

I'm tired of conversations with people who said Obama didn't do it.

I don't see many people saying that. No one denies Obama signed an appalling number of EOs.

Democrats always demand a return to ethical and Constitutional framework the day they leave office (while in power-not so much). I remember this thread from 2001, btw.

Weird, it's almost like that's still a bad excuse. Why use the same excuses as the people you don't like?

When people point out that "Obama did it", the point that's being made is this:

The media is taking Trump to task on every little perceived (or created) issue, but ignored those exact same issues when Obama did them. Not even wrong doings. They try to create controversy for Trump out of EVERYTHING. Many of the things that are so "terrible" under Trump were completely accepted and/or ignored under Obama. Take deportations as an example. Obama gave a ton of money to IRAN. Nothing was said. Obama's travel bans...not a peep. There a tons of examples of this. It's simply pointing out the hypocrisy of the media and dems. Things that were never an issue when Obama did them are now a big deal.

Kellyanne Conway put her feet on the couch. Fire her, they say. She doesn't respect the office, they say. Yet there is a photo of Michelle Obama with her feet on the same couch. And another photo of Obama with his foot on a desk in the Oval.

You are comparing the actions of the president and first lady to KAC. I'm not an Obama supporter, but I will say this: it's not the same.

On this board that makes you a Marxist. The sooner you let it roll off your back the better.
