The Associated Press: "President Barack Obama granted an audience to Tibet's Dalai Lama on Friday..."

it needs to be re-worded.

I don't understand the grammar used.

He has pretty much worn out "I, me, me, mine." I think we may soon see the use of the imperial "we" as in: "Speak with my minions about that, WE shall be playing golf."

I suppose this progression may not be all bad. I'm looking forward to us reaching the point of like old Imperial Japan, where us minions are not even allowed to look at or hear the Emperor speak.

"Beijing routinely protests when world leaders grant an audience to the Dalai Lama...."
