What's Going to Happen with the NFL and Trump

Starting tomorrow nfl,players are going to kneel en masse. Not for any cause, just in protest of the President of the USA. This is likely to spread to other sports and arenas; liberals will protest the symbols of this country over trump.
And what will the nfl do? A league that has consistently hid from its players brain damage studies. Why virtue signal of course. The league will come out in full support of its players in an attempt to slow the ratings decline and change the narrative.
Trump wants this. The left wants this. The nfl will play into it. This thing is lit yall.
Liberals who are used to owning the cultural narrative are getting push back. They dont like it. Will be curious to see how the country responds.
I like football and the nba. Will continue to watch because I like watching great athletes make great plays. I don't care what they think, what causes they support, etc. I expect many players don't share my opinons. Glad I live in a country where that's ok.

I agree I think a lot of teams will have massive groups of players kneeling - it's going to escalate and the NFL is going to be the big loser.
Also the media will overplay their hands and Trump will benefit.

Agreed and the NFL will be very slow to adapt to losses in revenue.
They've made it clear which side they represent and it's almost a guarantee they will double down when/if things drop off drastically.

I voted Trump and R my whole life (besides one local jduge) and I think whining about kneeling players is textbook snowflake behavior. I enjoy football and couldn't care less what they do because I'm not seeking to be offended. I'm seeking fantasy points. Deflect. Call me a liberal for some reason. It doesn't matter. The NFL is destroying its brand by itself. Many fans have lost interest in the cowards that kneel during the anthem.

I agree, the NFL will probably survive Trump's presidency. However, like any business enterprise, the survival of the NFL and the teams comprising it, is not guaranteed.
If they continue to kneel, they are continuing to disrespect their country and their fans, and are placing their own interests above both. Good luck raking in 8 figures while you disrespect the people that make that possible.
In short, if the NFL does survive, its players will likely be standing while the National Anthem is played.
