so the gop has the house, the senate and the presidency.
they've had SEVEN YEARS to have a feasible plan that will get more people insurance at a lower cost.
shouldn't they have a frigging library of plans available than the shite show they've rolled out?
did no one actually think to create a working plan?

This shows that they never wanted to fix the ACA. They planned for HRC to get elected.

The GOPe never wanted it repealed. They lied.
The conservatives simply don't have enough votes to overcome the GOPe and the democrats.

They realized that there is much more political capital to be gained from pointing out the failures of the opposition's ideas than there is from proposing your own solutions.

Those who have presented a good alternative have been shite on.
This debacle only goes to show that the vast majority of Republicans in federal positions are nothing more than a rearguard for Democratic policies.

Well, this is a refreshingly new topic that's only been discussed about 50 times on this board since January.

Funding Obamacare.

All this says to me is that 3 members of the GOPe in the Senate are unwilling to fix it. The rest are plugging away in an attempt to maybe appease 1 of those 3.

Not that you would support it, but Paul's initial offering was something I would have been very, very happy with, considering the alternatives.
Until then, I will let them take the penalty out of my tax returns and pay cash for my yearly GP visits, which cost a grand total of $200.

Enjoying cruises with their donors who told them to oppose Obamacare in speeches but to make sure a few GOPe fall on the sword when appropriate to ensure it doesn’t actually get repealed because it’s good for the insurance companies.

Hate to break it to you, bub, but the vast, vast majority of voters are low-information. That's how democracy works in this day and age. Dissatisfaction isn't due to the Obama moniker - it's due to incredible hikes on premiums and deductibles. The lack of action confirms my previous point, and that most lawmakers are in the hands of monied lobbying interests, not the concerns of voters, who, as you pointed out, are so low-info enough to take a politicians words at face value.

This is absurd. Its not like the GOP had one homogeneous body all this time. The membership has changed, individual agendas have changed, , various factors evolve. It took the Democrats two years to pass Obamacare when they owned Congress and the Presidency and they still had to bribe Congressmen to get it done.

There is no alternative for ACA that doesn't cost more money that the libs will go for anyway.
I'm just tired of them avoiding the tax issue. Come out and be honest for once and tell the taxpayers how much their dream of covering everyone will cost us.
Part of the reason I never supported ACA was their avoidance of how much it will cost the middle class and the fact that it didn't do anything to reduce true costs.
It was just sold on emotion. That's effective when dealing with the left though and they knew it would work.
We are never going back to the way it was so let's just find out how much it will cost to cover their new poor uninsured class and through them in medicaid and pay for it for them so they will stop bitching.

Conning me and millions of others into supporting them with our time, money and votes.
