Wait...so a bunch of people who can't be bothered to even pay for food...who would rather panhandle all day than actually work for the man...
These people would build something?
You know building something takes skill and work ethic.
Or are you just gonna go old school slave on the homeless...

Put them on a bus and bring them to Austin. Dump them and then hit the gas.

Buy each of them an empty box from Amazon.

There are so many things wrong with this. No thanks.

A lot of homeless people have mental health issues. Getting them the treatment they need might be a good start. Also, getting the ones hooked on drugs and alcohol into rehab might be a big help as well. But all that will either be paid for by charity or tax dollars. So, it won't be solved over night.

Round them up and add them to Bernie Sanders political team

Good luck boss man. MY wife went on a help the homeless spree five years ago. She bugged me enough to get on it about hiring some helpers for the roofing business I own. So every Sunday morning for 4 months I went to this spot and tried to recruit. Only came across two people that were willing to work during that span. One guy lasted half a day and the other two weeks.

I've suggested in the past we round up all the homeless in the major cities and bus them out to the rural Midwest and dump them there to start their new lives, or drop them off in Puerto Rico, Guam, and the other outlying territories of the Empire. Apartment rates...
Do you have any ideas with a snowballs chance in hell of happening or are we just playing make believe?

Should the Trump Wall have studio apartments on the ground floor as well as prisons for illegals? This would solve a lot of issues!

Let them live in NFL stadiums...Plenty of empty seats. Gamedays won't look so pathetic! Just have a whole lot more guys like this in the stands..

The mental illness angle is kind of a myth. More are drunks or addicts than seriously mentally ill. The overwhelming majority are homeless because they prefer freedom of the street to having to live by rules in transitional housing.
You'll never get rid of homelessness.

The director of a homeless shelter here breaks it down as,
1/3 mentally ill
1/3 drug addicts
1/3 because of true financial hardship, or prefer the freedom of life on the street.
Take it FWIW.

Increase taxes. If we can get it up high enough we'll have enough cash in the coffers to fund single payer plus build houses for the homeless. We'll also have to cover their utilities...but we could do that by having the government control utilities. If need be then we could increase taxes a little more. If you're not willing to give up some of your money to help those who have nothing then you're a racist.
Like 75% income tax and 50% sales tax on all necessities like food would probably cover half of it.

a lot of these people are just begging and not wanting to work like normal people do.
And therein lies the problem. It would somewhat help if idiots would stop giving handouts to them.
The ones who are verifiably mentally ill should be institutionalized.
