China has been building awesome shite for the last 20 years. Recently just built the tallest bridge surpassing the Millau Viaduct.

Tallest bridges, Three Gorges Dam, deepest tunnels, fastest trains...

Dubai has the Palm Islands.

London and France built the Chunnel years and years ago...

Will The Wall be it?

What's our last great construction project that is marvel of engineering?

Jerry World?

(The point is brought up because you see these lists of Top 20 modern marvels - and the USA isn't anywhere on the list...except for fricking sports stadiums.)

I think "big" marvels are outdated, maybe even a little useless for the most part nowadays.

With our innovation in technology, a lot of the marvels with most value are tiny.

But it points to domestic industry?

Does it not?

I mean people still talk about the Space Shuttle - a glorified Concorde basically.

I guess we build great planes...Boeing...a lot commercial.

But mostly military.

Marvels are used to wow a dumb populace and drive patriotism.

I agree invention and innovation is the next level and we are on that level.
China can't think for themselves all they know to do is copy and repeat they can't think abstract.

I've been on a YouTube binge dissecting China from insiders and outsiders.
The students all. Opp one persons report. Or a report that they find online. They struggle to be individuals... Which is understandable in a communist nation, where you just piggyback the best and fall in line.

But that's where the us exceeds the rest of the world innovation.

Japan and Germany have been historically known for this as well.
But merkel has screwed Germany

The I-phone was a pretty big deal.

But just wait till we break ground on Trump Plaza - Mars.

How can you not like something that develops 900,000 horsepower?

As a nation? Yeah. When was the last time the government spearheaded something like the Apollo project?

I heard on the Hannity radio program today that the NSA is building a new 2 million acre facility in Maryland to spy on us? Does that count?

China only builds those things because they have small dicks and an inferiority complex. Honestly, I'd rather we just build rockets and go to Mars.
