The first clause of Article I, Section 8, reads, "The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States."
So pretty much everything from cradle to grave.

I would prefer the feds stick to protection from outside threats. Secure the border and have a military. I would probably be OK with granting citizenship, too but that gets iffy.
Let the states do everything else including ruling on what is constitutional.

3: To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;
Interstate commerce and roads is one thing the Federal Government is authorized to be involved in.
