itself.

Of course the ACA was garbage. Obviously.

But what if healthcare itself is entirely wrong from top to bottom.

From the way we educate healthcare providers. To the way we build hospitals. To the way we furnish them. To the way we research. To how we fund research. The way we provide insurance. Everything.

Why don't educated and intelligent folks like yourselves talk about this stuff more?

Why are functional adults so easily pre-occupied with sport-politics, with winning the left vs right daily grind. Why?

This is America, we're easily distracted by a catchy narrative.

You're not getting me.

You're getting yourself by choosing not to think.

It HAS to be a left vs right thing. Both parties are dying. Its an effort to boost the base if one particular party can come up with the ultimate solution. I mean wouldnt you want to be a part of the party that puts forth workable solutions?

Of course this goes against "working together to reach one goal" but whatever.

I'm talking about you, and us, and regular people.

Why can't people discuss this issue from the perspective that perhaps healthcare isn't the way it should be -- from education on through every aspect of it.

You're so entrenched in the sport of left-right that you're incapable of digesting the OP correctly.

Because the people in charge of the current system are making too much money...

It is. People that cant afford it want the same coverage as people that can afford it, and making changes only effects the people that can afford it.

Thats the bottom line. But we cant get there because of political talk.

And I dont know a lot about it, but I think this is the approach that Trump is taking, is he not? Hes starting with getting med prices down. Thats a pretty good start I would think.

That doesn't answer why regular people can't talk about how the system as a whole isn't what it should be.

What if the problem is the price itself not how we pay for it?

I don't know any doctor that lives a modest lifestyle if you get my drift. Also Rx salespeople make bank usually multiple six figures.

Anyone see the picture here?

Because regular people are too fricking stupid to discuss anything beyond the physics of making a ham sammich.

We do handle healthcare wrong in this country because it is tied to the market and largely driven by profits.

It is mostly nutrition. We'd get rid of the vast majority of instances of disease if people would eat food that was helpful. Make nutrition great again. More focus on making your psyche stronger would help too of course.

Just the opposite. Health care is not market driven. If it were there wouldn't be charity hospitals and ERs who give 'free' care to the 'poor' and charge paying customers extra to make up the loss.

This is a HUGE aspect of it.

Doctors are not educated so much as they're indoctrinated to do what benefits the complex of the medical industry.

Nutrition goes beyond the healthcare debate and moves into other huge parts of our society -- the food industry is entirely incorrect too. The way we grow, produce, distribute, sell is not as it should be.

This is entirely incorrect.
