The tea party faction. They have opposed R compromising plans, the Speaker's own plan, democratic plans. Everything.
That faction literally is the epitome of the Party of No.

In theory, I'd like their alternatives, being that fiscally I align with much of what they believe in. Except the only plans from that faction come from Breitbart.com
A shitty compromise is a lousy idea. Better to get nothing, than crap that's worse than nothing.
The general consensus of most of the people I've seen who identify themselves as Tea party people is fiscal responsibility. Something that's been absent from Washington DC for over 50 years.
In short, they want a balanced budget, and some semblance of a plan to actually start reducing the DEBT and get away from the entitlement culture that's been spawned.
You probably aren't aware of it, since most people aren't since they don't bother to look.
Prior to 1932, the US government ran in the black, actual real surplus they used to pay down their debt just over 50% of the time. Since 1932, it's been done exactly 5 times, the last occurring in 1957.
Anyone with more than one functional brain cell knows the debt bomb when it goes off will be catastrophic. Your willingness to "compromise" will ensure that it does indeed happen.
