I went back and watched one of Bill Clinton's speeches the other day and he states "all Americans, not only in the states most heavily affected but in every place in this country, are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country”. Where is the Dem equivalent of this man? I didn't agree with his trade deals but the man could work across the isle and balance a budget.

If the democratic party could go back to what they were back in the 90s, the GOP would be hard pressed to win elections against them.

But then again, Bill Clinton had the GOAT Speaker in Newt Gingrich to keep him in check and make the 90s really pop off. They knew how to work with each other. That was such a good era for America.

I had a long conversation today with my brother.. a big Jeb Bush fan of centrism and 'reaching across the aisle.'
He was shocked at the difference. The Dems were losing and Clinton came along and moved the party to the center. Now the Dems are losing and their party is moving to the left.
I watched a Cspan show with speeches from Dems running to be the head of the DNC. What a bunch of lunatics. They were all to the left of Obama.

It's more about them trying to make a point now than actually work to better this country. Which, contrary to popular belief, is their job.

It's a damn shame what's going on in Washington now days.

I cant figure out why the Dems went progressive when he showed you the winning formula. Obama advanced the progressive agenda but his legacy will reflect badly when you put it next to Clintons.

FWIW, I heard on FOX today that Chelsea Hubbell-Clinton said she would not be running for the Senate.

Like she's really qualified but it is New York.

Is the radical CAIR affiliated politician going to run the party?

They need more middle America voters. Not less. They clearly don't even bother trying to look in the mirror.

When I look at Clinton I see a man that was a shitty husband but seemed to like and care about people. You didn't always agree with him but you atleast respected that he could bring people together. If you look at politics today most of our representatives cant even get into a room without calling someone a racist or fascist.

Hillary didn't have Bills affection for people. She wanted the success but didn't want to form the relationships necessary to get the job.

I don't think anyone like Clinton was in 1992 would ever get the nomination in that party today.

They are all republicans now.
