Words have meanings. A draft dodger is someone who literally dodged the entire process. Not someone who got a deferment whether medical or otherwise.

Oh I know that.
It's just that as somebody who put in 8 yrs in the Army myself, I don't have a problem with Trump's lack of service. Just wondering why someone who probably never put in a day himself would?

When I joined my chances of being shot or wounded were far less than during the Vietnam era so without having been in that place at that time I avoid judging peoples choices. That said I am not going to allow them to lecture me on patriotism or actually give much thought to what they think patriotism is but I wouldn't even allow Audie Murphy or Charlie Beckwith to lecture me but I WOULD hear THEM out.

Cool , just misread your post.
You know what I find amazing. RARELY do you see an actual vet using a person's military service or lack of to attack someone they don't agree with politically, it's almost always those who haven't served who do so (and that's both on the left and the right)

Well, I don't know. Let's take a look at some examples from our history to determine the answer to that question.
Let's see. During the Vietnam War, there were many who were drafted and answered their nation's call by heading for the hills of Canada to hide out there. Now then, did the Left condemn them for "draft dodging"? No indeed. In fact, we were told by our mass media, academia and by many in Hollywood that these Draft Dodgers were the REAL AND TRUE PATRIOTS because they knew the difference between Right and Wrong and they chose Righteousness instead of the murderous ways of US Imperialism.
So, therefore, from the sewer-mouths and shite-dipped pens of YOUR OWN SIDE, the American Left, Draft Dodgers are the TRUE PATRIOTS.
