This is Newsweek, not Alex Jones.
These are respectable, mainstream scientific organizations findings, not fringe groups.
The article is pretty horrifying.
Stop eating so much processed food.
Stop drinking soft drinks.
Stop putting so much shite in your body in general.
Start lifting weights.
Be a god damn man.

quote:
The report, published in late July, reviewed thousands of studies and concluded that sperm concentration had fallen by 52 percent among men in Western countries between 1973 and 2011. Four decades ago, the average Western man had a sperm concentration of 99 million per milliliter. By 2011, that had fallen to 47.1 million. The plummet is alarming because sperm concentrations below 40 million per milliliter are considered below normal and can impair fertility.

2013 study of American college students found that men who exercised more than 15 hours a week had sperm counts 73 percent higher than men who exercised less than five hours a week

Or do none of the above, remain single, and post on TD

Finally, a thread about politics.

Global warming has killed all the sperm.
That and most people with penises have almost no testosterone. Imagine the sperm counts of the early settlers. They probably got women pregnant by sitting next to them.

and Alex Jones has been saying this for years. The ruling elites have said this was part of the plan right out there in public.

Maybe the tighty-whities are too tighty.

It's also due to pesticides in the water... we're being sterilized
And the obligatory...
Nat Geo 2005 article
quote:
Men with higher levels of three commonly used farming pesticides—alachlor, atrazine, and diazinon—in their bodies were much more likely to have a low sperm count than men who showed low levels of the pesticides.
"The risk of poor semen quality was elevated 30 times with higher alachlor levels and 11 times with atrazine," said Swan, who is now at the School of Medicine at the University of Rochester in New York. She cautioned, however, that "the number of men we tested is small, so these numbers are not precise."
quote:
The pesticides found in the Missouri men are often found in drinking water sources. Water treatment plants are not designed to remove these chemicals, so Swan says it is likely that drinking water is the main source of exposure.
And the obligatory...
quote:
Research by Tyrone Hayes, a biologist at the University of California, Berkeley, has shown that atrazine causes the frog's male hormone testosterone to turn into the female hormone estrogen. As a result, male leopard frogs not only grow eggs but develop ovaries, turning them into hermaphrodites—male-female hybrids.
What's happening in the frogs could have implications for humans. Hormonal functions are similar across most species of animals, including humans. As Hayes warns in the documentary, "Frogs tell us something about us."

Toddy's kind are doing nothing for the greater cause of saving Western Civilization no matter how good of shape he might be in.
High sperm counts in the colon do nothing.

Great post.
Water filtration is critical in protecting yourself. Getting filters that can filter these elements are not all that expensive.

OP aside, any idea what they were objectively defining "exercise" as? 15 hours of working out a week would be tough for most people... unless they're just referring to walking or something.

Found it:
Moderate to vigorous activity (link if you don't have journal access)
link with journal access
Seems like an odd way to define exercise, but I don't read these journals very often.
Only the top 25% of the sample "exercised" 15 hours or more a week... still seems fairly high.

quote:
Our main exposure of physical activity was hours per week of moderate to vigorous activity defined as the sum of those two categories. This type of activity corresponded to any exercise that makes you somewhat to very windy or sweaty. Alternate measures of physical activity were also calculated including total metabolic equivalents (METs) and moderate to vigorous METs. Mild (<3 METs), moderate (3-6 METS), and vigorous (>6 METs) activities were given an average MET level of 2, 4.5, and 6 respectively to calculate the total METs per person
quote:
MET (Metabolic Equivalent): The ratio of the work metabolic rate to the resting metabolic rate. One MET is defined as 1 kcal/kg/hour and is roughly equivalent to the energy cost of sitting quietly. ... For example, 1 MET is the rate of energy expenditure while at rest.

God I hope so. I live in constant fear that I have little bastards running around that I don't know about.
I'm 26 and that a-hole of a doctor won't give me the ole snip snip.

This drop in count didn't seem to effect Peter North.

I bet the introduction of porn has something to do with this as well
