No fear in me, buddy. Respect...for sure.
And my philosophical logic only considers "ancient text" as such relates to philosophical truths.
The fact that LIMITATION EXIST in all forms of relative entities and life forms...certifies the existence of *evil*. The matter of semantically labeling the effects (of limitation or evil) don't change those negative effects. Limitation of wisdom, or the will to act upon wise conclusions which may be contrary to Natural instincts ASSURE negative and undesirable outcomes. And the complex psychological profiles of extremely complex beings - all with free will, throwing mud up on the wall of experience - pretty much reflects exactly what we now witness. Seeming Chaos on a unimaginable scale...but what may be a Divine Order on an unimaginable scale.
And key to the old adage that 'power corrupts...and absolute power corrupts absolutely' can be easily confirmed by the current crop of power holders. So, in theory, if Jesus (as the limited manifestation of the Whole/God) had blown his ability to withstand the effects of great power and become corrupt...end of game. Creation of limited beings (humanity) would have been a non-starter.
Only the Whole is perfect and non-corruptible. How could it be otherwise...as only ONE option exists. As such, limited beings are innately evil. And as such, the more knowledgeable and powerful they become...the more apt to corruption. That might be why we don't see em flying all around the Universe. It'a a Catch-22; but NOT without a fix, if the Gospel holds true. That would be the "ancient text" that you speak of...as they allude to what is a creative AXIOM...such being that creation - in effect - created LIMITATION, I.e., *evil*. And that the Creator visited us with a fix...Salvation, for them that take it. Discount that axiom...and...well...give it a whirl.
The high probablility of parallel universes assures perfect (philosophical) justice for ALL concerned. As each individual can end up creating their own relative and subjective 'heaven' or 'hell'. What is it that defines an individual anyway. Is it not their character...feelings...values...intent. The body comes and goes...but those definitive character aspects are uniquely SPIRITUAL, and as such, the specific combinations - which define specific individuals - are ABSTRACT, and therefore eternal. Just a matter of *future* occurrence...and progression/evolution...I.e., 'going to heaven'. And given the Relativity of Time and Infinity...a virtual fait accompli. You comin 'back' to take up being whomever you were, when you left off. Period. Reap what you sew. Perfect justice.
All this is out of the box philosophical speculation for sure, but it's fair and just. And would be the ideal. And the Ideal is exactly what WOULD exist, if an ideal Creator existed as an infinite and loving Intellect.
Bottom line, re your assertion that "religion itself is flawed"...nope, certainly not the ESSENTIAL philosophical base.
As it has been recorded, interpreted and acted up...you betcha...that has been flawed. And why not. THAT'S THE POINT of *religion*' to fix the flaw.
I gotta paint. Good luck.
