It surely wiped out the Private Insurance Market...but for the few who bought in with (supposed) guarantees for Government help and mandated young customers needed to offset pre-existing condition/no limit payouts and high risk/low reward dynamics. How long before collapse occurs, and the howls for a Government 'fix' begin?

And it established Government-subsidized Insurance for those who can't pay.

Neither of the above go away; and that is why Republican Conservatives would not vote for it. Are we destined to be at the mercy of a VA type System? Everybody good with that?

Given the above...where does it go from here? IMO, Trump should deep a shiny Gold Pen in his top pocket for the duration, and let everybody know that this pen is within a hands reach and that he will gladly sign whatever Bill/fix the Congress sends up.

No. It's in no danger of collapse.

Yes, in fact, that was exactly what it was designed to do. Pass the poison bill of EMTALA around until the only one left able to pay it is the federal government.

My Medicare Supplement (Humana) jumped 40% this year. You really don't believe there will be any calls on Congress to 'fix'/subsidize Obamacare, BA?

We'll see, pretty soon. Kinda like whether or not Obama/His Bureaucracy surveilled Trump/Campaign.

I think yes on both.

The ACA was designed to bankrupt the middle class so much as they will soon welcome universal care.

Yes. Been saying that since 2009.

And Obama said it in 08.

Yes. Some of the dems clearly stated it.

Yes it was. That is why the Dems didn't care what was in it when it passed. They knew it was just one step closer to a single payer system.

Stop. The Dems knew exactly what was in it. It has always been a poison pill designed to achieve single payer.

So Trump is going to stand by, say 'I told you so'...and then what does Congress do? The Dems will scream that the Reps are letting people die in the street and the Reps will scream back that the Dems OWN the Mess so it's their baby...and the future most likely holds one of two possibilities.

Likely a Government System (Single Payer in some form) for all citizens (likely Illegals too) who can't pay and with Elites given first dibs to best of care...and affluent citizens paying out of pocket. I see no way around this; barring catastrophe. Just a matter of when.

I don't know if "designed" figures into it, but I'd bet eventual single-payer was a part of the calculus for those farthest to the left who voted for it. I think Obama, Pelosi, and Reid just had their eyes fixed on HS textbooks talking about who "successfully" did xyz first. Pretty sure the model's sustainability was always very much in question.

i.e. 90% of the dems who voted for it

There are not any "moderate" democrats. There are barely any sane ones.

That was never in doubt. Just like everything else the DEMs sponsor.
