Was it ever confirmed he actually used the bump stock?

Out of his arsenal only one gun had the bump stock (based on photos) and no confirmation if it was used yet bump stocks are now the boogeyman.

Reports were saying it looked like he used modified weapons meaning he modded the lower receiver somehow to simulate a fully auto weapon.

It's just amazing how quickly everyone has jumped on the bump stock bandwagon when we really have no clue as of now what was used.

Nothing has been confirmed nor denied.

There is a leak in the spout however.

Because bump stocks are unknown by most of the population so the media can spin away. Also banning them makes it look like politicians care and "did something" when in reality it has zero impact. But again, the public at large don't know this.

Even the NRA has come out and said they are OK with taking a closer look at a ban on bump stocks. I guess they have to bend somehow every now and then but I was shocked.

I would never own a bump stock. Hand held automatic fire is inaccurate, and a bump stock makes them more inaccurate.

Case study: Falklands War. British and Argentinians armed with same rifle. British version is semi only. Argentina actually an assault rifle with automatic capabilities. Argentinians pray and spray. British aim and win.

But, I wish I would've bought a dozen last week. Could have doubled my money today, legally!

The sheriff confirmed on a Tuesday night that 12 rifles had bump stocks.

And said that Paddock fired 12 volleys on Tuesday morning.

I don't think that is a coincidence.

Another Obama Administration policy to defeat and chalk up as wiping that clown out of any doubt as the absolute worst president ever.

Great campaign tool to talk numbers of Obama rollbacks exceeding Walmart rollbacks.

It is. Unless he's an idiot. It's much easier to change your mag than to swap rifles. Even running high rates of fire, those rifles can take it. I can see swapping rifles after a couple of mags, maybe, due to heat, but after each one is a little excessive.

Looking at the pictures from his hotel room, I think he was swapping rifles. I don't understand why, but my first thought looking at the scene was he was throwing rifles down as he emptied the mags and picking up unused rifles from that "bin" he made from 2 chairs pushed together.

He may have. I’m not saying that he definitely didn’t, I just don’t see the necessity of it. It makes what he was doing harder in my eyes.

Yep. The guns had bump stocks, banana clips, and exploding bullets

This is a good PR move for them. It staved off some of the talk gun control because Congress will "do something." The NRA gets to say "hey look we are reasonable." Bump sticks will be the sacrificial lamb to keep narratives spinning on all sides.

I haven't seen any definitive proof. Have you? I have seen proof he was shot with a gun and that is about it.
