They are saying this guy had mounts and scopes. That screams SAW to me. As a former M249 gunner myself, when I heard the videos from the concert, the first thing I said was, that sounds like a SAW. The rate of fire. The muzzle flashes, but the long duration of bursts did it for me. I know they said he had an arsenal of weapons, but have they actually confirmed any specific weapons? Thanks in advance and god bless America.

If you want to kill some people use a 5.56 round, you want to slaughter people use a 7.62. It didnt sound like a 249.

The way the cyclic rate changes on one of the videos I was listening to, I'd swear at least one of them was a semi auto with a crank on it.

I don’t think it was either sounded more foreign to me. Maybe 240 but I feel the rate of Fire was to slow for the Saw.

One of the videos had audio where the rate of fire was full auto but it had some inconsistency in the rate of fire at times. Like others said that makes me wonder if it was an alteration like a bump stock.

What other weapons use mounts, have scopes and shoot 5.56? That screams M249 to me.

Originally I didnt think it was an ak but I went back and listened to the gunshots and then went listened to the gun shots from the north hollywood shootout and I am pretty sure it was an AK with a large drum. The shot timing and sound is almost exactly alike.

Different brands of ammo within the same belt will feed at different rates.

One news source has already confirmed this.
