Did it make you feel oppressed?

You're a courageous American for taking this unrelenting oppression in stride.

He's showing a strong stoic exterior. But we all know how torn up he is on the inside.

Funny thing is I've always had to show an ID to vote. Not showing an ID is foreign to me. That's why I'm always and when someone complains about having to show an ID to vote.

Of all the things you have to show ID for, voting makes a ton of practical sense.

Wait, you think a requirement to produce an ID to show that you are a valid citizen to be able to vote in this country's elections is gov't overreach and a police state run amok?

He thinks forcing you to show an ID to vote is govt overreach, but is fine with govt forcing you to buy health insurance or taxing you to stop global warming.

Of course, he is also against corporation employee PACs giving money to candidates, but completely fine with corporate unions doing it. His hypocrisy knows no bounds.

I voted yesterday and had to show my ID. I felt like asking the black clerk why she didn't like whitey.

When I voted in the 2012 election, I had to show ID too. I was Allowed to skip everyone in line. Those republicans sure were mad

But if someone doesn't have picture ID they're allowed to cast a provisional ballot that will presumably be vetted at some later before being added to the totals. I don't know what this vetting consists of but I am curious if anyone is familiar with the details. Never been an issue for me, never leave the house without ID.

Honestly, SS - do you know what the big deal in "the community" about this being a racial issue? Is it just pure rhetoric? Is there a dude at the DMV "sorting the laundry" so to speak, making it easier for my people get their paper and harder for yours?

Serious question...

That sounds like the most shame-filled, degrading experience I've ever heard. Prayers sent.
