She's an idiot, but anyone who watched that bumbling speech and says she made it all about herself is being an absolute hack. Also, Kelly's main gripe was her bragging about funding, which she didn't.

This shows a completely different version than what Kelly presented. I am disappointed in him. Don’t know what to say.
However I might point out she used her own version of “they knew what they were signing up for” in her tribute to the agents killed.
I am still very disillusioned with Kelly for getting this all wrong.

I have listened to the John Kelly remarks about 3 times. When he talked about the FBI ceremony in his remarks he said "a congresswomen". To me did he not imply the "congresswomen" at the FBI ceremony was Frederica Wilson(for some reason Debbie Wasserman Schultz popped in my head). I thought he was using this particular story to make a point on how politicians can sometimes be what he called an "empty barrel".
I assume this will be answered in time as somebody will comb through all the remarks at the FBI ceremony. They will find the person that COS John Kelly was referring to/talking about. There is an answer somewhere.

Her speech was way more about her than those who were supposed to be being honored, that is CoS Kelly's point about that empty barrel.

Doesn’t change the fact this video shows Kelly to be a liar. Or at a bare minimum, someone willing to offer strong condemnation based on a hazy recollection of an event without checking the facts. And I say this as someone that respects Kelly and think he has overall, until this saga, been a good public servent by every account of his record.
But a deflectionary response like this, ironically in the name of defending the self-aggrandizer in-chief, is only further proving my point. Trumpkins have this curious capacity to openly ignore reason, facts, and objective standards in the name of defending their cult leader. Often while simultaneously claiming it is everyone else but them that is exhibiting the behaviors they are actually habitually guilty of.
