US would resemble a Hunger Games type government without Electoral College

Clip on Rush made this point today and I thought it was interesting.
Without EC we would effectively have 9-10 cities dictating most everything with the remaining states basically being colonies or impotent districts.

I agree. You can't put presidential electoral power in the authority of 4-5 states because that eliminates a huge portion of the voting authority from the productive base of the country. Think about what elimination of the EDC would do:
1/ Place 100% of the electoral authority into liberal/metropolitan areas
2/ Minimize / eliminate the ability of suburban voters to affect elections
3/ Eliminate the 'farm vote' or the vote of people that are not liberal
4/ Make every election decided by urban centers and eliminate the authority of farmers, growers, and the suburban population that largely has different religious concepts than the people in the urban centers...
Anyway, the EC is a critical component to preserving the US electorate.

I'm all for removal of the electoral college. The federal government rules by virtue of a grant of powers from the states. Ergo, whoever wins the most states should win the election. Libs good with that?

If Electoral is gone, then there will be civil war, because the rest of the U.S will not want to be a feeder state for the three fat cities. Also, the Liberals will sell out to foreign powers to reign other U.S citizen in.
