It has finally happened. I agree with Toddy on this one. That should have been an easy vote to make.

None of that matters to the issue at hand, though. The issue is that the Useful Idiots are out there parroting a dangerously simplistic platitude that (as it usually does) waters down and neuters the actual issue in the name of a pet cause. As a result, everybody misses the worthwhile argument (the death penalty as a whole) in favor of just trying to make it look like Trump hates figs.

Toddy: Your turn.

Um, I know you think you "got me". None of what you posted does ANYTHING to mitigate what this administration has done. They think it perfectly fine that homosexuals are killed if they are caught having same sex relations. And no I don't think Trump hates figs per se. I know many in his administration do, including his vice president. I don't think Trump really cares. He obviously is ok with me begin murdered because I'm gay though. He made that perfectly clear by aligning with Muslim shitholes to oppose this.

So you are OK with:

quote:

Calls upon States that have not yet abolished the death penalty to ensure that it is not applied on the basis of discriminatory laws or as a result of discriminatory or arbitrary application of the law;

...and letting people you don't know and have never voted for decide what will be defined as "discriminatory or arbitrary"?

You are OK with a resolution that lets someone from any of about 160 countries with values significantly different than yours use their own subjective morals, rather than hard data and established standards, in letting you decide how to handle legal matters in the US?

If it were as simple as "Can't execute homosexuals", don't you think 99.9% of the US would be setting things on fire in support of that idea? Does the fact that this is not happening lead you to at least question that what you are being told is not the full picture?

Sounds like you not only care but that you're trying to diminish him as a human being. Typical little bitch stuff from you

And you completely ignore the mass importation of people from said shitholes by the party that "supports" you.

You do love trying to have it both ways (no pun intended).

Wow. I honestly can't believe you painted yourself into this. You really believe that the policy of the Trump administration is that they are OK with executing anyone caught in a homosexual act, and your justification is that Trump is clearly aligned with Muslim countries?

I have never had someone make my own case against them so clearly.

Were you dropped on your head as a baby? It is the Muslim nations pushing for the death penalty for gays, they lost, change your tampon.

Give me one reasonable reason why they would vote against this and align themselves with some Muslim shitholes and china.

Because it is only a UN resolution that has no meaning, and if we vote for something like this we will be hypocrites when we vote against resolutions that condemn our use of the death penalty or any other thing the UN chooses to condemn in our culture or legal system (the supposed war on Black males, our prison industrial complex, white privilege, control of our borders, etc.

The UN should get busy with what it is suppose to do, it isn't a world government, just a bloated bureaucracy filled with arse wipes from around the world..

Why do you continue to lie about the resolution? There was MORE than just the gay sex stuff.

If Japan and India voted against it, I'm betting there was more to it.

This is what hacks do. It's not their fault, really. It's the people who should know better, have an idea that the line is a lie, and do nothing about it.

The liberals win elections because they lie more aggressively and with more volume. Malcolm X was exactly right on this issue.
