Was the 6 month deadline restarted? Pretty sure someone said 6 months like 2 months ago.

I'm not sure what you mean by "restarted."

I started this thread on September 29 so it's been a little over 3 months into my initial 6 month prediction.

However I wrote many pages ago that the six months was probably a little short and I should have said "within a year" but I've decided to leave the thread's title at six months so as not to wus out.

i am thinking arbitrage on russian mail order brides. Go over there, find some honeys buy them for a few thousand rubles, bring them here and sell them for $100k a pop.

of course, I would need to test run their blowjob skills to make sure I am not selling a faulty product.

I remember that one time all preppers were getting ready for the collapse of the dollar and that the russians and chinamen were going to bring us down by taking away its status. Hell its the only thing gaining value right now

There is an inverse, leveraged ETF, RUSS, which moves in the opposite direction as the Russian large cap stocks move traded on the MICEX (Moscow) stock exchange.

But don't buy it unless you are prepared to lose everything you spend to buy it. It is very volatile and is at the mercy of the Russian government and the ruble exchange rate.

I've seen it move up or down 25% in one trading day.

Yes, but please don't tell anyone. I'm trying to keep my identity on TigerDroppings a secret. Thanks.

this is an interesting thread to go back and leaf through. For example, Iosh posted an ETF that's risen 152% in the past 3 months.

Also there's the initial speculation on the causes of plunging oil prices... whether the Saudis were targeting Russia or the US.

I'm sure there's more interesting tidbits that I missed.

I sold on that giant spike the morning after their humongous rate hike. My best timing ever.

Washington (AFP) - Fitch Ratings cut Russia's credit grade Friday to just one notch above junk level, saying plunging oil prices and Western sanctions will force a four percent economic contraction this year.

Fitch lowered its rating for Russian government debt by one step to BBB-, the lowest possible investment grade, and added a negative outlook on the rating.

I'm not recommending it. It's extremely risky.
