Because it is a complete repudiation of the Democratic party. The left has had the unions forever. The party is hemorrhaging badly. Like rats leaving a sinking ship, normally stalwart supporters are bolting for greener pastures. USA stacked. Democratic pigs fricked.

Trump has firmly entrenched himself in the Democrats decision cycle. He is making moves faster than Democrats can react to his last move.
If he continues to successfully court the union vote away from Democrats over the next four years, he will walk into a second term.
This is the kind of thing that will firmly secure the rust belt for him.
