Manchester terror attack: UK officials 'furious' over investigation leaks from US
quote:

British Prime Minister Theresa May will meet with President Trump on the sidelines of this week's NATO summit in Brussels to discuss a series of leaks related to the investigation into Monday's deadly terror attack in Manchester, England.

Multiple U.K. news outlets reported Wednesday that British officials were furious after the New York Times published forensic photographs of parts of the bomb that killed 22 people and injured 119 others outside an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena.

quote:

The leaks to American media began hours after the bombing, when multiple news outlets reported the suspect's name based on leaks from U.S. officials briefed by their British counterparts. Investigators did not name Abedi as the suspect until the day after the bombing.

quote:

"Once that name is released, then of course the others [connected to the bombing] will either do one of two things," McCaul told "The Story" host Martha MacCallum. "Go underground and hide, or try to get out of the country, or will detonate another explosive device very soon thereafter."

British Home Secretary Amber Rudd told Sky News earlier Wednesday that the leak of the suspect's name was "irritating" and said she had made clear to U.S. officials that it "should not happen again."

Keep up the fine work, media; you make us proud.
I loathe this country right now.

Investigators worry that the leaks, which they believe to originate from the U.S. intelligence community, will complicate the probe into what they've described as a "network" surrounding suspected suicide bomber Salman Abedi. Greater Manchester Police said late Wednesday that six men and one woman had been arrested in a series of counterterror raids across Manchester's sprawling suburbs.

I think this one is on the USA intelligence community.

The whole intelligence community needs drained. Start from scratch and hire a brand new crew. Their worth is worthless. They aren't a branch of government. They are expendable if needed. Give them the slip and weed them all out.

What is great is that while Comey was 3,000 miles away Trump fired his sorry arse without him knowing it was coming; the shills on capitol hill knowing it; the leaks getting wind of it. It was a thing of beauty. And, then when he gets the word Sessions is in there cleaning his fucling house out. Trump tweets he has surveillance and DC is taken by the nuts. It was a tactical move. Trump owning these brain-dead idiots while the media makes it looks like he is somehow not going to make it the truth is that he is at war with these swamp creatures and winning.

The media should push for the scoop and publish whatever the frick they want, whenever they want. Britain should stop sharing info, and the Americans should stop telling the fricking Press if they don't want it to get out...

Nah, they did what they should, they just never should have had the info in the first place.

Trump should cut the NYT off... not that it would matter unless he gets rid of the leakers as well.

I doubt this organization thinks much about anything it publishes lately.

All the NYT cares about are the same things the average US Progressive cares about: Punishing the political enemy.

Think the NYT would be concerned about thwarting an investigation into a terrorist attack? LOL. Nah. The same NYT that will do ANYTHING to apologize for radical Muslims doesn't care. There's a narrative to push.

Wonder if the NYT published those pics before ever posting a pic of the bomber.

How is it the media's fault? Isn't there a report that Trump found suspected leakers but decided to wait until he gets home before firing them? Maybe Trump shouldn't have hired a bunch of lying degenerates.

I love this country, but loathe the current administration. The quicker Trump, Sessions, Pompeo and all of them are out of there, the better.
