Tucker Carlson to fill O'Reilly's shoes?

I give O'Reilly 5 years before he checks out. You have to figure FNC won't get caught by surprise. Carlson is gaining in popularity - especially in Greta's old time slot. The guy is adept at smoking out liberal nonsense. He's got the velvet hammer. What say you?

I would have to think that Carlson is the odds on favorite, sure isn't Hannity, Megan or anyone on the 5.
The best guy for my money however is Cavuto hands down. He is excellent.

Don't get me wrong, I like Tucker, but O'Reilly? Those are some mighty big shoes to fill. If by filling his shoes you mean taking his time slot when O'Reilly leaves Fox News after his contract is up then yeah I can see it, assuming Hannity doesn't leave as well, which I believe he will.
Tucker has a lot to learn. You can't just go on Live TV and just call people stupid without presenting facts or explaining in a convincing way why they are stupid. Tucker has done this a few times and while I do watch, and it is entertaining, he's no O'Reilly. O'Reilly has a way of making people feel stupid gracefully and that's why I think he is the best in the business. He is all about the facts and he knows his stuff when he brings someone into an interview.

No. Tucker is a biased idiot who only welcomes idiots onto his show that makes the mouthbreathers on this site feel good about the fact that they're not stupid in the same way as people who appear on his show are.
O'Reilly doesn't give a platform to such mouthbreathers as Tucker does. He can have a non-biased interview. Tucker can't and is no better than Rachel Maddow.

I really like Tucker. I really do.
But this is a weakness with Tucker as he only invites the lowest hanging of fruit there is that is easy enough for him to demolish with no problems at all and the ratings show that.
Nobody can touch O'Reilly.
