With the campaign over and the battle won, I am enjoying the current melts but still think fondly of the great moments that brought Trump to his big league victory.

The many stumpings of Jeb will always hold a cherished place in my heart and the youtube airhorn videos are great for some laughs. The impeccable timing of zingers in the Hillary debates like "you'd be in jail" show how quick-witted and to the point Trump is and I look forward to him taking that tactical sledgehammer to America's competitors.

How about a thread posting your favorite Campaign Hit and what made it so special to you...this isn't meant to devolve into a debate or discussion thread, but more as a place to look back and give insight on what you found significant...show and tell, not show and debate. The election is over now. Dems and Never Trumpers are welcome to post too, if it makes you feel better, about the moment that you enjoyed the most that was negative on Trump or a moment where even an opposing viewpoint could say "job well done" or "that was highly entertaining."

Thinking back among all of the highlights, "The Red Stumping" still remains my favorite. The final debate was just completed. The media was constantly hammering trump over everything imaginable, including the recently released groping tapes. Republican support by elected officials and establishment types was rapidly dwindling. Things were dark and Hillary was inevitable.

I had never watched one of the Al Smith dinners before and didn't know it was going on when I was flipping through the channels and saw it getting started. I figured I would let it run while I was making dinner. Dinner got put on hold.

In political theater, what Trump did "just isn't done." He was supposed to shuck and jive and drop some soundbites that were either cute and would be lightly covered then swept aside, or could be played against him to make him look foolish. But Trump remembered the lesson of the White House correspondent dinner when he was publicly brutalized (to much media acclaim) and he took his revenge. The Red Stumping is probably my favorite among the Greatest Hits and really drove home that Trump wasn't some sort of stealth Democrat or someone who would "go along to get along" if elected. If the Dems weren't sufficiently scared before, they should have been terrified by the time Trump took his seat.

Further demonstrating how politically savvy and savage he is, while the commentators intitialy went on about how Trump shouldn't have hit Hillary so hard, when it was her turn she went hard also. He took the power play and dominated it.

Full Monologue

My favorite Trump campaign moments:

Criticism of a federal judges Mexican heritage

Feud with the Khan family

Mocking disabled reporter

Asking Russia to hack Hillary and find the missing emails.

Him knowing more than the Generals on how best to defeat ISIS

Going after a former miss America on twitter for being too heavy and mentioning her sex tape.

So many good moments.

All are spun half-truths and lies, except maybe:

quote:

Criticism of a federal judges Mexican heritage

^which I'm sure you understand the angle Trump was playing (a possible biased judge should recuse himself), but it fits the literal definition of racism so I'll give you that one

quote:

Him knowing more than the Generals on how best to defeat ISIS

^which was said in jest, but hey, since you're desperate, you can have that one too

Hugo, those are all great moments indeed, but the point is to post your favorite of them all and, if you would like, tell the class why it was your favorite.

ETA: This is the trust nest, you are in a safe space. Share your thoughts because everyone wants to hear them.

Remembering how Trump campaigned is what will keep millions of voters from coming around to him no matter what he does in office. It was a disgrace.

Just watching the Hillionaire deplorables video, I use it as a motivational tool.

Navy, what would you say is Trump's most disgracefully off putting campaign moment, and why?

It might strike you as surprising that I never took the time to rack and stack them all.

I never did that and anyone who did is a giant pussy. Pretty funny to think how you and your ilk loved those polls.

Well, you are a pretty smart poster. I thought you were capable of making an assessment on the fly. No problem though that you are unable to do so or are unwilling to do so. However, I also thought you could read the OP and see that the point of the thread was to post about a specific moment or incident and give your take on it. I even invited Dems and Never Trumpers but asked that they play by the rules. Instead, you shite all over my attempt at a thread that is different than the usual "discussion" on this board.

Sad. Bigly.

No scars. Just not taking lectures on delicacy from a doll like NIH or any of the other fairies who spent the election "doxxing" posters and getting them banned.

The episodes that seem to stick out most are Judge Curial and the feud with Kelly. But isolating them really misses the broader point that it was a running, embarrassing shitshow. The fact that he won doesn't change that.
